Vision
To be the recognized leader in quality assurance program in Dermatopathology in Malaysia.
​Mission
To provide resources, data, and insights for assessing the diagnostic proficiency in Dermatopathology and generally to inculcate continuing medical education in pathology.

​​About 

Established in 2020, to improve and increase the quality of dermatopathology service in Malaysia to the highest level for a better and advance outcome in patient care and promote excellence in laboratory output.

The cases provided were categorized into groups including inflammatory dermatoses, neoplasms, and cases with multiple diagnoses. The performance of participants over time in each of these categories was assessed. Each case was specifically reviewed, and further educational notes was provided to the participants for self-assessment to improve the diagnostic proficiency.

Certificate of participation will be issued upon completion of each laboratory proficiency testing.
The highest standards

IAPMD QAP was formally established at IAPMD-DSM [Department of Standard Malaysia] seminar on March 17th, 2017. It is in the process of seeking ISO 17043 accreditation. Currently it has 1 module per cycle: in November of each year.
