About IAPMD
Quality Assurance Programme
​( QAP )

​It is ideal that all anatomic pathology laboratories participate in a quality assurance program. Currently, most Anat Path labs in Malaysia subscribe to ISO 15189, which mandates participation in EQA programs. Consequently, the IAPMDQAP was formally established at a co-hosted event by IAPMD and the Department of Standards Malaysia (DSM) on March 17, 2017. DSM serves as the National Standards Body and the National Accreditation Body, responsible for providing standardization and accreditation services in Malaysia. The program began with the General Module, and the Dermatopathology and Technical Modules were introduced later.
