QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAMME
About the General Module
The IAPMD Quality Assurance Program (General Module) was officially launched during the IAPMD–DSM (Department of Standards Malaysia) Seminar on March 17th, 2017. The programme is designed to support pathologists in maintaining high-quality diagnostic practices.
The IAPMDQAP runs twice per cycle, in May and October each year, providing participants with access to cases in Virtual Whole Slide Imaging (WSI) format.
This digital approach enables laboratories across Malaysia to engage with realistic diagnostic scenarios, enhancing their skills and proficiency in a practical and accessible manner.
A key feature of the programme is its unique assessment process, which compares individual responses to the target diagnosis and evaluates them against post-circulation responses. This provides a detailed understanding of diagnostic variations and promotes continuous improvement in pathology practice.
By focusing on the specific needs of the diagnostic pathology community in Malaysia, the IAPMDQAP plays a vital role in strengthening the quality, consistency, and reliability of pathology services across the country.
To gain access to the cases, institutions subscribed to this programme are provided with a login email and password.
